Your safari driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha after an early breakfast.
After a short briefing, depart for Arusha National Park, located about 45 minutes (35 km) from the town.

Arrive at Ngongongare Gate, complete park entry formalities, and start your adventure.
Your guide will explain the park’s unique mix of habitats -montane forest, open savannah, alkaline lakes, and volcanic craters.

Enjoy a scenic game drive through different park sections:

• Momella Lakes: See flocks of flamingos and other water birds.
• Ngurdoto Crater: Known as the “Little Ngorongoro,” it’s home to buffaloes, bushbucks, and warthogs.
• Spot giraffes, zebras, baboons, colobus monkeys, and sometimes elephants and leopards.

Take a guided nature walk with an armed ranger a unique feature of Arusha National Park.
Walk through forested areas at the foot of Mt. Meru, learning about flora, fauna, and birdlife while enjoying views of Mt. Kilimanjaro on clear days.

Enjoy your packed lunch at a scenic picnic site such as Momella Lakes Viewpoint or Ngurdoto Picnic Site while surrounded by beautiful nature.

Continue exploring other park sections and enjoy more wildlife sightings as you make your way slowly toward the park gate.

Exit the park and drive back to Arusha.
